UTC Ice Summer Camps are still planning to operate this year!
We are consistently monitoring the CDC changes for running day camps for youth sports to make sure that we accommodate and meet the recommended safety measures. While we may all find the COVID-19 situation to have caused some changes this year, we can ensure that your family will experience the highest quality of fun and learning that our programs provide!
UTC ICE SAFETY MEASURES
UTC Ice’s Training Camp and Beginner Blades program operations will be enforcing the following safety procedures that include and are not limited to:
Daily temperature checks. These checks are mandatory for all campers and staff before check-in. Any individual with a temperature exceeding 100°F will not be allowed to enter the ice arena that day.
Limited Capacity. To follow day camp guidelines, skaters will be divided into groups up to 12 per off-ice supervisor according to age throughout the entire day. Groups will be assigned to the same supervisors all week.
Lunches. Skaters must bring food for their own food for the day, including snacks and a non-perishable lunch, stored in their own bag. Campers must also provide their own water bottles.
Cleaning procedures. All staff members will sanitize supplies/facilities throughout the day. Handwashing and hand sanitizing will be practiced frequently.
Social Distancing. All activities on and off the ice will follow social distancing guidelines. All camp groups will be spaced out throughout the ice arena and locker rooms during each activity. Skaters are expected to be spread out where they put their belongings
Staff training. All staff members within the facility are trained with all new COVID-19 safety measures and practices.
