Learn important skating and hockey skills at the coolest ice rink in San Diego: UTC Ice! UTC Ice offers a great beginner hockey camp to provide a fun environment for kids to learn and stay active. The Ice Hockey Camp offers exciting hockey-related activities both on and off the ice. Our professional staff has years of experience teaching kids of all levels and ages. All instructors go through background checks.
For boys and girls ages 5 to 13 years old.
No prior experience required!

NEW PIRANHAS WEEK! For experiences house level youth hockey players run by Nick Carlotto.
Nick Carlotto is a dedicated hockey coach and former collegiate athlete with extensive experience in player development. A USA Hockey Level 4-certified coach, he currently directs the UTC Ice Piranhas and leads the San Diego Hawks high school team, focusing on skill development at all levels.
A former team captain and president of the University of Georgia Hockey team, Nick played as both a defenseman and goaltender, playing a key role in the program’s success on and off the ice. His coaching career includes roles with Columbia Prep, Baystate Buccaneers, Stop It Goaltending, and SAP Goaltending, where he specialized in goaltender and defensive training.
With a passion for developing strong, skilled athletes, Coach Nick is committed to helping young players reach their full potential both on and off the ice.

Beginner Hockey Camp
Early Bird Registration Fee : $549 (Save $100 before June 1st, 2025)
Regular Registration Fee: $649
Piranhas Hockey Camp
Early Bird Registration Fee : $499 (Save $100 before June 1st, 2025)
Regular Registration Fee: $599
EACH WEEK HAS CAPACITY LIMITS. REGISTRATION ACCEPTED ON FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BASED ON AVAILABILITY.
Piranhas Week are for house level players with 2 years of hockey experience. Practices and games will be at a higher level. Weeks 1 & 2 are for youth players newer to the game of ice hockey wanting to learn the sport.
